What are you GRATEFUL for? The shorter days have us off the festival path and into each other's living rooms to enjoy the fireside sessions and good meals together. Having an attitude of gratitude, and gathering together with our instruments amidst the uncertainty and discord we face right now is what we crave. Yes, some rehearsing, but also, just hanging is a comfort in these times, as well as a way for Anita to show off the string prowess that she has been developing in the background while the rest of us have been performing!
We returned to The Monkey House, Berkeley, for the first time since last December for a pre-election, nervous energy-release show. Leslie was so happy to be there on her home turf with friends and family in the audience. Thanks for coming out and making it a special night. Shout out to several musicians in the audience! Our next full band show will be Saturday, January 31 at the Sebastopol Community Center. Please come out to support our wonderful Community Center. Joe Craven will be sitting in with us, and with Familiar Strangers.
Megan has been enjoying some solo shows. Come on out to Aqus Cafe the day after T-day (which we like to call "Buy Nothing Day") in Petaluma. And next Sep 26 - Oct 6, 2025, she will be the trip leader for Scotland Folk Tours, traveling to Edinburgh, Isle of Skye, and Inverness! Wanna go? Information here.
We have received a great response to the new Pot o' Beans video! It's a good menu for a cold night.
